WARREN, Mich. — A DoorDash driver stole an 8-week-old puppy while making a food delivery on New Year’s Day, video shows.
Video from a home surveillance system recorded the 26-year-old driver make the delivery, pet Bella then scoop her up and walk away with her, WXYZ reported.
“This is a new one even for me,” Warren police Det. Brian Price said. “Pretty shocking when you watch the video and see it happen right in front of you.”
Police were able to find and arrest the driver, whose identity has not been released. Charges are expected to be filed.
Bella was in good health and was reunited with her family.
