Officials are investigating after a dead shark was found hanging at a Florida high school Thursday morning.
St. Johns County School District confirmed to Action News Jax that a shark was found hanging at Ponte Vedra High School in an outdoor hallway of the school. The shark was removed shortly after the discovery was made. Incidentally, the school’s mascot is a shark.
Action News Jax says Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is leading the investigation, along with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
No further information has been released.
