MINNEAPOLIS — Fitting rooms at select Target stores are about to get cozier than usual.
Target, the nation’s eighth-largest retailer, announced Wednesday it will soon begin offering COVID-19 vaccines at more than one-third of the 1,700 CVS Pharmacy locations within its stores.
“Target already supports CVS-administered vaccinations each year for the flu, shingles and pneumonia, and we’ll continue to partner closely as they administer the (COVID-19) vaccine while following state and federal guidelines,” Target stated in a news release, noting that fitting rooms will be made available to CVS at select stores to host appointments.
According to the retailer, the vaccinations will be available to customers and Target employees.
Individuals interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine are asked to check their eligibility at CVS.com and determine if a participating location is in their area. Appointments are required.
“Target’s looking forward to providing even more support in the coming months. That’ll mean continuing to work with CVS to offer vaccines to guests and team members within stores,” the Minneapolis-based company stated in its news release.
Meanwhile, CVS has asked customers not to contact individual locations to set up their appointments and encouraged those without internet access to contact customer service representatives by calling 800-746-7287, WKYC reported.
