GREENSBORO, N.C. — A North Carolina church shared its blessings with its parishioners this holiday season.
WGHP reported that Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina, brought light to the lives of its members as part of its yearly Christmas event.
The church gave away money not only to members of the church but also to the community, including thousands of dollars to other churches, $25,000 to Children’s Home Society, $500 checks to church widows, $18,000 to pay for student loans, three new cars and more than 60 bikes.
In total, Mount Zion Baptist Church gave away $300,000, WLTX reported.
One of the churches helped by Zion’s Christmas event is in Louisiana and had been damaged by Hurricane Ida.

“We were able to bless three churches that are committed to serving their communities with $50,000. A church impacted by Hurricane Ida, had its roof compromised. They started to take in water and mold, and they needed $50,000 for their deductible. So, we were able to help them,” Bishop Bryan Pierce tod WLTX.
The church said it has donated more than $1 million over the past year.
