WASHINGTON — The FBI is searching for the person they say is suspected of leaving pipe bombs at two locations in Washington, D.C., Wednesday.
Officials said law enforcement agencies were alerted of suspected pipe bombs left at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee and the Democratic National Committee Wednesday afternoon.

The person was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a mask. He was seen carrying a large, black bag.
The two locations are separated by about a five-minute walk, WTOP reported.
ABC News reported that the suspected pipe bombs were active. Capitol Police said they could have caused “great harm” if detonated.

“The USCP Hazardous Materials Response Team determined that both devices were, in fact, hazardous and could cause great harm to public safety,” officials said in a statement, according to ABC News.
