The CDC said of the cases, those who received two doses of the vaccine did not need to be admitted to the hospital between June and September.

Of those patients aged 12 to 17 who were hospitalized, 97% of them were unvaccinated with 3% of patients in the hospital having received a shot.

However, none of the vaccinated teens who were hospitalized had to be admitted to an intensive care unit, according to the CDC’s data.

The study excluded teens who had only received one of the two vaccines or who had been vaccinated 13 days or fewer before seeing signs of the coronavirus.
