NEW YORK CITY — A cat that Transportation Security Administration officers rescued from a suitcase heading to Florida got to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal back at home in Brooklyn, New York.
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein tweeted a photo of the cat named Smells, getting ready to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal after he had sneaked into a checked bag at John F. Kennedy Airport last week. The suitcase was heading to Orlando, Florida.
“Apparently Smells was planning to chase after a big mouse he heard was running around Disneyworld,” said Farbstein.
According to WFLA, the owner of the suitcase said that the cat belonged to someone else in his house.
