HARWINTON, Conn. — A bear cub has been rescued after it got its head stuck in a plastic jug in Connecticut.
The incident happened on June 23 when a mother and her three cubs knocked over a trash can in Litchfield County. One of the cubs got its head stuck in a plastic jug, according to The Associated Press.
Connecticut Fish and Wildlife said DEEP Wildlife Division biologists responded to help the cub. The biologists were concerned about the heat and wanted to help the cub quickly.
“Our biologists responded and found the cub. After waiting for the cub to come down from a tree, it was successfully tranquilized, and the clear plastic container was removed,” said CFW.
According to the AP, the bear cub was not injured and quickly found its mother nearby.
