ATLANTA — A parking deck in midtown Atlanta collapsed for the second time in two days, injuring one person, authorities said Saturday.
According to Atlanta Fire Rescue, fire units were deployed to the city’s Midtown section for “a second major collapse” of the parking deck, which partially fell Friday, WSB-TV reported.
A section of concrete fell Friday, injuring six workers.
Fire officials said a worker was injured Saturday when a T-beam pancaked down multiple floors as workers were shoring up the structure, according to WSB.
The person was taken to an area hospital, the television station reported.

Friday’s accident at the new Emory Midtown Hospital parking lot happened around 11 a.m., the television station reported. A prefabricated wall on the 11th floor collapsed onto the 10th floor.
