WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A 5-year-old South Florida boy who was reported missing was found dead in a waterway Saturday night, authorities said.
Dahud Jolicoeur was found about a block away from his home in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Teri Barbera said.
Barbera said the boy had autism, was nonverbal and could not swim, WPTV reported.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for the boy just before 6 p.m. EDT on Saturday, according to WPEC-TV.
Deputies searched the area and nearby bodies of water for Jolicoeur, who disappeared at about 5 p.m. EDT, according to WPTV.
“We are so incredibly saddened to announce that we found Dahud,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “Please keep the Jolicoeur family in your thoughts and prayers.”
