According to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Teri Barbera, deputies were attempting to break up a large block party in Pahokee late Saturday when gunshots were heard, WPTV reported.

Authorities discovered that two adult males and one adult female had been shot, Barbera said.

The three victims were taken to an area hospital. One person was listed in critical condition, another is in serious condition and the third person’s injuries are not life-threatening, WTVJ reported.

A motive for the shooting is unclear, Barbera said, adding that no arrests have been made.

The Muck Bowl is an annual game between rivals Pahokee High School and Glades Central High School of Belle Glade.

This year’s Muck Bowl trophy was won by Pahokee, as the Blue Devils shut out Glades Central 28-0, WPEC reported. The victory avenged a 38-0 victory by Glades Central in 2020, the television station reported.
