REXBURG, Idaho — Two people were found dead after a shooting at an Idaho motel Saturday morning, authorities said.
Police responded to a Motel 6 in Rexburg after 911 dispatchers received multiple reports of gunshots at about 5:33 a.m. MST, KIFI-TV reported.
Rexburg police officers arrived at the motel and tried to make contact with people inside the room where the gunshots were heard, Asst. Chief Gary Hagen told East Idaho News. When no one came to the door, a SWAT team was called and the motel was evacuated, the newspaper reported.

Motel patrons were placed onto a bus until police secured the area, according to KIFI.
“We want to thank the Madison School District for providing a school bus where the motel guests could stay and be taken care of,” Hagen said.
When officers entered the motel room, they found two people dead, East Idaho News reported. Their identities have not been released, the newspaper reported.
Saturday’s incident came several weeks after another shooting at the motel. On Jan. 24, a Mississippi man allegedly fired 13 shots into the front of the motel building, KIFI reported. Johnnie Kendrall Adams, 35, was arrested after a disagreement with front desk staff before leaving and getting a rifle from his truck, the television station reported.
Police said Adams was upset after being charged a $150 fee for smoking in his motel room, KTVB-TV reported.
Adams was arrested several days later in Wyoming, KIFI reported.
