CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 13-year-old boy got stuck in a claw machine on Sunday at a North Carolina amusement park, officials said.
Park officials said that the teen climbed into the machine at Carowinds in Charlotte shortly before 2 p.m. EDT, WSOC-TV reported.
Officials said the teen entered the Cosmic XL Bonus Game in an attempt to steal items, according to the television station.

Park officials were able to extricate the boy from the machine after about 15 minutes, WSOC reported.
The teen was given first aid and then released to his guardian, according to the television station.
“The safety and security of our guests and associates is Carowinds’ top priority,” park officials said in a statement.
