LATROBE, Pa. — It's been nearly six months since a Pittsburgh-area woman was last seen, and now that the investigation has gone cold her family and friends are taking matters into their own hands.
Cassandra Gross of Latrobe was last seen on April 7. Her dog was found wandering in the area a few days later, and the police found her burned-out car near Twin Lakes Park.
After that, the trail went cold.
"I want my daughter found. I'm tired of the police not searching, and not giving us permission to search. I want to find her, i want to bring her home," Cassandra's mother Kathe Gross said.
Friends and family have been fundraising so they can offer a reward for information. They've also been searching for her, and making sure her disappearance isn't forgotten.
