It's been five months since the unbelievable happened, a 5-year-old boy was picked up by a stranger and thrown over a third-floor railing at the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
But Landon, who has been identified by only his last name, has finally returned home with his family, KSTP reported.
His family updated followers on their GoFundMe page on Tuesday, saying that Landon had finished his inpatient rehabilitation.
The child will continue outpatient rehabilitation as he continues to recover from the injuries he sustained when Emmanuel Aranda threw him over the railing in April.
Landon had head trauma and broken bones and had to undergo multiple surgeries to repair the injuries, CBS News reported.
Aranda had pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder in June and was sentenced to 19 years in prison, but he filed an appeal Friday, KSTP reported.
There's no report as to why he is appealing, the Minnesota Star-Tribune reported.
Aranda had told police that he went to the mall "looking for someone to kill" after he said a woman rejected him, CBS reported. Originally he planned on selecting an adult but then chose Landon instead.
Aranda's mother, Becky Aranda, said Emmanuel Aranda was homeless and has had mental health issues since he was 3, the Star-Tribune reported.
