BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — With in-person learning set to resume Monday, Brevard Public Schools says they can’t be sure how many students will actually show up because thousands still haven’t registered.
“Where we really have great concern is our Elementary Numbers. Currently, we’re still showing about 6,000 students that have not registered for elementary school in Brevard County compared to last year,” School Board Chair Misty Belford said.
The middle and high school numbers, on the other hand, are closer to what the district saw last year.
The district is asking parents to reach out directly to their child’s home school to get them registered as quickly as possible.

Even parents who don’t plan to register because they’ve chosen another option like virtual learning or private school, should contact their child’s school to let them know that.
