Ten arrested in drug bust at Brevard County motel

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies have arrested ten people following a month-long drug trafficking investigation at a motel in West Melbourne.

According to investigators, the ten people were selling drugs at the Econo Lodge on West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne. Officials said during the investigation, undercover deputies were able to buy a variety of drugs at the motel from the suspects.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, two of the suspects, Aaron Brantley and William Gentry, allegedly tried to trade a significant amount of pills for a gun. Investigators said the two were taken into custody during the drug deal.

Following the arrests of Brantley and Gentry, the SWAT team served search warrants at multiple rooms at the motel.

Investigators said the individuals arrested include Aaron Brantley, 24, William Gentry, 20, Steven Ellis, 46, Ecia Ford, 38, Shannon Ballard, 25, Ovidio Montilla, 26, Travonn Street, 21, Edward Gandy, 21, Charles McCutchen, 47, and William Dogoda, 53.

Eight of the suspects have been charged with selling drugs.

Deputies said they are still searching for two more suspects, 34-year-old Justin Boome and 20-year-old Demarcus Mitchell, who have warrants for their arrests.
