They’ll begin LaunchED instruction Wednesday and continue through Friday, October 23rd, following their normal daily schedule. The students will return to campus the following Monday.
The kindergarten, second, and fourth grade students and staff will not be able to participate in any school events or activities during that time.
The district says they’ll also spend that time cleaning and disinfecting the school.
OCPS says they didn’t have to close the whole school- as they’d previously done with high schools with COVID-19 cases- because elementary school students aren’t as mobile throughout the day, typically spending much of the day in a single class with the same kids.
