Here’s what the first day of early voting looked like in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — So far, nearly 9,800 people have shown up at the polls in Orange County to cast their ballots on the first day of early voting on Monday.

Of those, 609 cast ballots at the new early voting location at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando.

In Winter Park, lines wrapped around polling locations. In Parramore, people reported being in and out in just over 20 minutes.

Early voting in Orange County runs until Nov. 1.

Before you head to the polls, here’s what election officials want you to know:

1. It is recommended that voters bring their own masks, gloves and pens.

2. In order to maintain social distancing, you may be asked to wait before entering.

3.Tissues will be available to avoid touching the stylus and pens provided.

4. If you requested a vote-by-mail ballot, you can still drop that off in the mail, at an early voting location or at the supervisor of elections office.

5. You still have until 10 days before Election Day to request a mail-in-ballot to be sent to your home.
