Supporters gather ahead of President Trump’s rally in Central Florida on Monday

SANFORD, Fla. — Last minute preparations are underway for President Donald Trump’s visit to Central Florida on Monday.

The president is scheduled to hold a rally in Sanford, the same place he was supposed to visit more than a week ago before he tested positive for COVID-19.

Trump will be at the Orlando-Sanford airport on Monday night. And Sunday, his doctors said he is well enough to return to the campaign trail.

Supporters of the president were already set up and waiting for the event on Sunday night.

Crews were also busy preparing the airport for Trump’s “Make America Great Again” rally on Sunday by turning an area in front of a hangar into a stage for the president.

Only a few were lined up Sunday night, but the line is expected to grow as it gets closer to rally time.

It does not say if masks are required at the event, but supporters said if they are required to wear one, they will.

Attendees will be allowed to enter the airport starting at 4 p.m., and the president is set to speak at 7 p.m.
