ORLANDO, Fla. — On Sunday, Orlando police arrested one of the suspects of the fatal shooting that happened Feb. 20 in downtown Orlando.
Police responded to reports of a shooting on Hyer Avenue between Central Boulevard and Washington Street just before 8 p.m. Feb. 20.

Orlando police said 32-year-old Jacaris Rozier was killed when suspects entered a home on Hyer Avenue, robbed everyone inside and took off.

According to police, 27-year-old Derrick Maurice Herlong was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, home invasion robbery with a firearm, carjacking with a firearm and grand theft.
Herlong is currently being held in Orange County Jail with no bond.
This is an active and open investigation. Orlando police said they are actively trying to identify the remaining suspects in this case. They are asking anyone with information to call Crimeline by dialing 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
