MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating an alligator attack in Martin County.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, a man was seriously injured after being bitten by an alligator at Halpatiokee Park in Stuart.

Deptuties said the man was riding his bike when he fell off into the water.
The man fell close to a large, female alligator who was near her nest.

According to deputies, the gator attacked the man, who received a serious bite.
The man was pulled out of the water by a bystander and flown to a nearby hospital.

The man remains in serious condition.

The gator was trapped by a local trapper, deputies said.
