If you’re one of the thousands of people whose job or income has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, there are resources available to help if you’re struggling to make your rent.
Channel 9 complied the rental assistance resources available for Central Florida residents county by county:

Orange County
The Orange County government has made the COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program available as a one-time benefit for Orange County residents who qualify.
The program will provide assistance with one month’s rent, so residents will be able to use their limited funds on other necessities. To qualify, you must call 407-836-6500 for an appointment. Remember to bring the necessary documents.

Orange, Seminole & Osceola counties
The Heart of Florida United Way established a fund to support Central Florida residents whose financial stability is being impacted by the pandemic. The focus of the fund is to support the ALIC (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties experiencing hardship due to decreased hours or unpaid leave.
The ALICE Fund provides rent, mortgage and utility assistance to help prevent eviction and homelessness.
To qualify for the fund, residents must demonstrate financial need by presenting documentation including, but not limited, to bank statements, pay stubs, rent agreements and utility bills.

Volusia & Flagler counties
To assist Volusia and Flagler county residents and families who are impacted by COVID-19, United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties launched the COVID-19 Relief Fund to aid in recovery efforts.
The organization said it is working with local partner agencies to distribute emergency funds to those in need.

Brevard County
To assist Brevard’s individuals and families impacted by COVID-19, United Way of Brevard is providing information and resources to those in need.
The United Way and several other local foundations have launched the Brevard COVID-19 Response Fund to aid in recovery efforts.
United Way of Brevard said it has authorized $50,000 from its emergency fund for the fund.

Lake & Sumter counties
The United Way of Lake & Sumter Counties is working to help community members impact by the COVID-19 outbreak. Call 211 for more information and assistance.
Marion County
The United Way of Marion County has community resources available for citizens in need during the coronavirus pandemic. For more information, call 211.
