PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. — A man in Brevard County was hospitalized Monday after a workplace accident in Port Canaveral.

Deputies say the man was working on a generator on a small barge at the time.
They say a pipe burst from the generator and spilled burning hydraulic fluid on him.

That man then jumped into the water to put out the fire.
First responders were able to airlift him to a hospital to treat his injuries.
