Woman killed in early morning hit-and-run crash in Orange County, troopers search for driver

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash in Orange County that left a pedestrian dead.

The crash happened Saturday at around 3:20 a.m. near the intersection of Bonneville Drive and Scranton Avenue.

Troopers said a 28-year-old woman was riding a motorized scooter northbound on Bonneville Drive north of Scranton Avenue.

According to a news release, the right front of an unknown vehicle hit the woman and drive away from the scene northbound on Bonneville Drive.

Traffic homicide investigators found pieces of a front right headlight in the area of collision, FHP said.

Troopers said they are looking for a 2020 - 2022 Ford F-250 or F-350 of an unknown color that could possibly be involved in this crash. The vehicle should have damage to the front right headlight.
