WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — Investigators are working to determine what killed a woman found dead inside a burning Winter Springs townhome Thursday evening, officials said.
The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of Casa Park Circle.
"It's disturbing," said neighbor Nancy Warren.
Once on the scene, firefighters found a fire burning inside the townhome as well as the woman’s body, the Winter Springs Police Department said.

The woman, who is believed to have been in her 70s, was not identified and her cause of death was under investigation.
"In my mind, I know for sure she was on oxygen because I saw her on the porch, and I know for sure she smoked because I used to see her on the porch," said neighbor Austin Brady, who shared a wall in the townhome with the victim.
No other units in the townhome complex were affected by the fire, officials said.
"It's pretty traumatic. We said a prayer for her last night. I hope that her family will get some peace," Warren said.
