WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. — Children learned about the fun of fishing this weekend in Winter Springs.
The city taught children about aquatic habitats at Fish Winter Springs 2023.

Winter Springs Parks and Recreations team members helped them bait hooks, tie fishing knots and cast lines.
According to a news release, the program with the city and Fish Florida educates young people on fishing as a leisure activity and how they can protect fish.

Each child who participated received a free fishing pole.
Winter Springs has held the event for the past five years.
