Michael was Danielle’s stepfather. When her mother passed, Danielle said she became a caregiver to her siblings in the home and eventually began a romantic relationship with Michael.
Danielle said they were living in Cleveland at the time she described their relationship as “good.” However, she said their relationship was already abusive at that time.
She told the jury that she saw an ex at a concert one day and an argument started with Michael shortly after. She said that after she called Michael “Jewish and cheap,” he hit her.
