Winter Garden police need help finding witness in triple shooting

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — An argument at a Saturday Winter Garden block party ended with three people shot, one critically, police said.

The incident began shortly before 2:15 a.m. at the corner of Bay Street and Bethune Avenue, where the crowded block party was underway, police said.

The argument then moved out in front of a home on Bethune Avenue, where someone shot at one of the people involved in the argument.

Three people ended up with gunshot wounds, police said.

Donald M. Rodgers, 24, was treated at the hospital and released.

Johnathan M. Hightower, 22, is in stable condition.

Dante J. Horne, 28, is in critical condition.

Police announced Tuesday that they need help finding a witness to the shooting. They said Keith Lewayne Brown, 24, of Apopka, has key information about the shooting, but is not cooperating with the investigation.

Police said they have recovered a vehicle they believe belongs to a suspect.
