Sea turtle numbers are dwindling along Florida’s Atlantic coast.
Officials say tracking their movements can help protect the population.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University teamed up with Northrop Grumman and the Brevard Zoo to keep tabs on the turtles.
Drones are being equipped with artificial intelligence to help track the turtles.
AI is a field of computer science which is focused on creating intelligent machines that can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence.
Officials said AI’s influence on society and industry is only going to grow.

While AI has many benefits, there are also potential downsides, such as job displacement, data privacy concerns, and biases in decision-making.
