Flood advisory is in effect for parts of Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — A flood warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m., a portion of east Central Florida including Orange and Seminole Counties.

Flooding will impact rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood prone locations.

The National Weather Service said there will be 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.

Some locations that will experience flooding include:

  • Oviedo
  • Winter Springs,
  • Winter Park
  • Casselberry
  • Maitland
  • Longwood
  • Goldenrod,
  • College Park,
  • Azalea Park
  • Lockhart
  • University Of Central Florida
  • Pine Hills
  • Bithlo
  • Fern Park
  • Fairview Shores,
  • Orlando Executive Airport
  • Union Park

4:17 p.m.:

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Little Wekiva River near Altamonte Springs in Seminole County.

The heavy rainfall over the Little Wekiva River Basin will lead to quick rises and minor flooding in communities near Altamonte Springs.

A flood advisory is in effect for portions of Orange and Seminole Counties until 5:15 p.m.

The NWS said there will be 1.5 to 2 inches of rain.

7:00 a.m.:

Central Florida will have another stormy afternoon on Wednesday.

Our area will have a 60% chance of rain and storms in the afternoon and evening.

Some storms could be strong with isolated flooding.

Before the storms fire up, we will see highs near 90 degrees.
