Why Oprah’s favorite exotic fruit tree biz had a big growth spurt

When Oprah Winfrey included Windermere-based e-commerce business PlantOGram on her famous list of favorite things in 2022, it’s no surprise that traffic to PlantOGram.com went up.

But the company’s revenue was already on the rise, said co-founder Vicky Popat. In fact, PlantOGram’s year-over-year growth from 2021 to 2022 was 58%, thanks in part to the surge in e-commerce sales triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, she said.

PlantOGram.com is an online shopping portal that offers exotic fruit trees for sale, the most popular among them being mango and avocado trees. Oprah really likes the olive trees.
