About 13 months ago, Massmen Properties — a real estate company owned by Massey Services Inc. President and CEO Tony Massey — paid $4.2 million to buy most of a block along West Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park.

So, when the remaining portion of the block came available — that being the 0.3-acre property at 1700 W. Fairbanks Ave., long home to popular eatery Linda’s Winter Park Diner — the company seized the chance to add to its assemblage.

Linda’s Winter Park Diner owner “Linda D’Auria made contact earlier this year and asked if there would be interest in purchasing her property as she began to plan for her retirement,” Massey told Orlando Business Journal in an emailed response. “This was a great opportunity to own the entire block on Fairbanks, and the company agreed to the purchase.”
