Starting March 1, the Miami-based intercity rail service will test trains at up to 125 mph along a 35-mile corridor of State Road 528 in Orange and Brevard counties. The company has made the claim this will be the fastest rail service in Florida.

The rail corridor is not within public access and testing will happen between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through this spring. Brightline also is testing in the 129-mile corridor between Cocoa south to West Palm Beach, where the train is going through areas with rail crossings at a speed of up to 110 mph.
