ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Eyewitness News looked into the process of what happens when someone is booked into the Orange County Jail.

More than 20 law enforcement agencies in Orange County take arrestees to the Booking and Release Center.

Corrections officers will process those who are arrested into the jail system, according to the Orange County jail website.

The person’s property is inventoried and stored, and he or she goes through a medical screening and is fingerprinted and photographed.

A pretrial hearing is then scheduled for the person who was arrested.
