It is approaching 15 months since an entity related to New Jersey-based H Mart bought the location of a former Target on West Colonial Drive — and 14 months since the Korean grocery chain confirmed the building would be its first Florida location.

There’s been little to no update since the Feb. 25, 2021, sale closing or the March 9, 2021, confirmation, however, leaving enthusiasts wondering about the status of the project.
A spokesperson in H Mart’s marketing department told the Orlando Business Journal the grocer does not have a planned opening date at this time. Further calls and emails seeking additional details or a timeline were not returned in time for publication.
