ORLANDO, Fla. — It’s Weather Alert Day across Central Florida on Saturday.
9:30 p.m. Update:
As of Saturday evening, we already had one batch of storms roll through Central Florida with more than three inches of rain falling in parts of Brevard and east Orange County.
Reports of hail the size of eggs fell from the sky in Brevard County.
A few isolated evening storms will pass overnight and after a brief quiet spell before the final round of storms arrives early Sunday morning.
Expect high rain chances between 4-8 a.m.
Severe storms are possible as well. After that, late morning and afternoon dry air and sunshine will return and be with us most of next week.

Severe storms have already begun firing up, with two-inch hail reported in Cocoa and already one tornado warning in Brevard County that expired just after 4 p.m.

We will continue for the next 4 hours with a chance for more strong storms scattered about.
Central Florida will see two rounds of strong storms within the next 18 hours.

The first round of storms will be late afternoon and into the evening. Lightning and downpours will be the most common threat with an isolated risk of damaging hail or severe wind gusts.

Later overnight and early Sunday morning round two rolls through with a continued risk of strong storms with damaging winds and hail.
We’ll be also watching a risk of rotating storms that could produce brief tornadoes. Be ready for severe storms both as we finish the day and very early Sunday morning as well.
