‘We can’t police the streets of downtown’: Bar owner reacts to video of line of people outside business not following CDC guidelines

ORLANDO, Fla. — Video taken last week shows a line of people waiting to get into a downtown Orlando bar, and some weren’t following CDC guidelines such as social distancing and wearing masks.

The video was taken outside Bullitt Bar last week.

However, the owner told Eyewitness News that he can’t enforce CDC guidelines on the sidewalk.

“We try to keep everybody safe, but we can’t police the streets of downtown,” Bullitt Bar owner Matty Bullitt said.

Bullitt said he tells people to socially distant and wear masks inside his business.

Bullitt has a food license, so he’s allowed to be open per the Department of Professional Business and Regulation’s rules.
