WATCH: SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center

ORLANDO, Fla. — SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 49 Starlink satellites into orbit Thursday afternoon.

The launch from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A happened at 1:13 p.m.

The company said the rocket flew south along Florida’s east coast over the Atlantic Ocean.

Following stage separation, SpaceX landed the rocket’s first stage on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship at sea.
