A dust devil engulfed a 7-year-old catcher during the game in Jacksonville over the weekend.

The sand and debris spiraled around Bauer Zoya for a few seconds before the 17-year-old umpire grabbed him and pulled him out of it.

Bauer said he couldn’t see and felt as if he was being lifted off the ground.

“I was scared and I got afraid if someone would pull me out,” he said.

But that dust didn’t stop Bauer from playing.

His dad poured water on him to get the dirt out of his eyes, and he went back into the game.
