WATCH: Disney debuts full trailer for ‘The Little Mermaid’ live-action remake

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Walt Disney Pictures has released the trailer for a new film that will soon be part of our world.

The trailer for the live-action “The Little Mermaid” premiered Sunday evening during The Oscars on ABC.

A new poster also debuted online.

The films stars Halle Bailey (“Grown-ish”) as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids”) as Ursula, Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men”) as King Triton, Jonah Hauer-King (“Little Women”) and the voices of Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian and Awkwafina as Scuttle.

“The Little Mermaid” hits theaters May 26, just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
