If you’ve been hoping for a faster, more direct way to get to the Orlando Sanford International Airport to catch a flight, you might be in luck.

The Central Florida Expressway Authority is working on a study to see if it’s financially feasible to build a two-lane roadway to connect that airport to State Road 417.
The project could range from 2.3 to 3.1 miles, depending on the route, according to a presentation provided to the city of Sanford.
