LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Walt Disney World is going all out for its 18-month long 50th anniversary event.

Disney announced cast members would be getting new nametags for the theme parks anniversary celebration beginning October 1, 2021.

The new badges will feature a pearlescent shimmer and holographic gold foil.

“For nearly 50 years, cast members have been at the heart of making magic at Walt Disney World Resort, bringing countless memories to life for guests and one another,” Disney said in its official blog.

The new nametags took a team of graphic artists and costume designers nearly a year to develop.

While something as small as a nametag may seem minor to some, Disney says that the badges “provide a sense of pride and personal connection as an iconic part of Disney heritage and culture, both with cast members and guests from around the globe.”
