VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — All COVID-19 vaccine appointments have been booked in Volusia County after the county received more than 2,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine.
On Wednesday morning, the appointments were filled in less than 15 minutes.

County officials said the vaccination event will be held at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand. The site will operate as a drive-up site, and preregistration is required.
Florida residents who are 65 years and older will be eligible to receive the Moderna vaccine.

Residents were able to make an appointment online or by phone.
Vaccination appointments will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Officials said 1,150 appointments were available each day.
The county said residents can text “VolusiaReady” to 99411 to receive updates on when additional vaccines will be available.
