Man wanted for homicide outside Daytona Beach marijuana dispensary involved in deadly crash in Orlando, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Daytona Beach police said a murder suspect was caught in Orlando on Tuesday after crashing his car and killing an innocent older woman.

Police said Willie Walker shot and killed a man at a medical marijuana dispensary Monday night and was being sought by law enforcement authorities.

Orlando police said Walker was fleeing officers when he hit and killed a woman driving on South Rio Grande Avenue near 20th Street.

The Daytona Beach police Chief Craig Capri said Walker was in a very distinct blue-colored vehicle and police had video of the whole shooting.

Capri said Walker and the victim got into a fight at the Curaleaf parking lot on West International Speedway Boulevard.

Walker shot the victim three times, got into his car and took off, police said.

Investigators put out an all-points bulletin on the vehicle that ended up in Orlando, where the deadly crashed happened.

Capri said deputies believe the shooting was over drugs. While it happen at a marijuana dispensary, the chief believes this is just where Walker and the victim met up and had nothing else to do with the shooting.
