Man in critical condition after being shot in New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — A man is in critical condition after he was shot in New Smyrna Beach on Monday night.

At about 9 p.m., officers said they responded to a report of a person being shot in the 600 block of Greenlawn Street.

They said the man was airlifted to a hospital, where he is in critical condition.

New Smyrna Beach police detectives said they are actively investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call dispatch at 386-424-2000 and ask to speak with an officer or leave an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-888-277-TIPS (8477).

Officers said callers who provide information through Crime Stoppers could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
