VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Several vehicles struck a man-made tailgate which detached from a vehicle traveling northbound along Interstate 95, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the scene around 8:50 p.m. Monday and said nine vehicles hit the piece of debris.

Minor injuries were reported, and a few vehicles had to be towed, FHP said.
Officials said they didn’t know what kind of vehicle lost the tailgate, or if the driver knew it came off.
