Federal lawsuit accuses Volusia County cheerleading coach of sexual abuse

SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. — A federal lawsuit filed Friday accuses a South Daytona cheerleading coach of sexually abusing three young athletes.

The lawsuit says Erick Kristianson was a coach at Champion Elite Legacy cheerleading gym in South Daytona.

In July, Daytona Beach police said Kristianson was arrested after he exposed himself to three underage girls.

In that case, police said Kristianson performed sexual acts on himself while on a FaceTime call with the victims.
