Death investigation underway after Stetson University student was found unresponsive

DELAND, Fla. — A death investigation is underway in Deland after a student was found unresponsive on-campus Saturday night.

Around 7:50 p.m., Deland police responded to campus housing after a male student was found unresponsive.

When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Kaleb Walker unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to a news release, based on our preliminary investigation, foul play is not suspected in Walker’s death.

This investigation remains open.
