VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said a death investigation is underway Sunday after a person’s body was discovered along the side of the road.
Deputies said the body was found at around 2:30 p.m. along State Road 415, west of New Smyrna Beach.

Investigators said the person is a man but did not give further details.
Officials said the death investigation is active and ongoing.
